Looks like Solectron news caused SCI to hit air pocket.

The news that Solectron is picking up a big chunk of IBM's Austin manufacturing facilities caused that stock to spike yesterday morning. Today I think this same news helped SCI sell-off over 5 points. I guess the theory is that there will be less IBM PC assembly business available for SCI.

Also today Hadco gained four points, possibly related to the Solectron news. Solectron is Hadco's largest customer, accounting for about 18% of sales. There was some news about Hadco selling a portion of their Dynaflex subsidiary picked up in the Continental acquisition; but I think that was too small a deal to cause the spike today.

Looks like there is a lot more outsourcing deals to come in the upcoming months. Rumors are rife of multiple plant acquisitions for many of the big assemblers.
