Dew, I am posting the press release from today, since Yahoo does not keep these for long:

SHREWSBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 1999-- Programmer's Paradise®, Inc. (Nasdaq:PROG - news), the
international software marketer, announced today that the Company's net sales for the year ending December 31, 1998, are
expected to exceed $230 million, more than a 30% increase over 1997, fueled by a 490% increase in web sales.

Programmer's Paradise continues to aggressively expand e-commerce activity by creating online specialty stores tailored for
individual software publishers and content publishers. The number of specialty stores has grown to seven, and is expected to
double within the next six months.

In addition, Programmer's Paradise is set to expand the breadth of products offered at its main web site from 4,000 to well
over 35,000 SKUs. At the same time, the Company's website is being enhanced and product-related informational content is
being increased tenfold, thus making the site an extremely valuable reference tool and e-commerce resource for the Company's
technically-oriented target audience.

Bill Willett, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, ''The Internet continues to be a key area of focus, as nearly 100%
of our targeted customers utilize the web today. We continue to direct resources to this channel, and expect aggressive growth
in 1999. Our customers -- Information Technology (IT) and software development professionals -- have a tremendous
appetite for in-depth information as well as quality products and we intend to deliver this to them.''

To support this expanded e-commerce activity, Programmer's Paradise will continue to expand catalog pages circulated by
more than 25% to well over one billion impressions in 1999.

Mr. Willett continued, ''These catalog pages serve as our banner advertising. The investment in the expansion of our
print-related advertising is paying dividends through increased visits to and revenues from our websites.''

The Company plans to announce fourth quarter and year-end results on January 28, 1999.
