<<IMO I never would recommend to use stop orders>>
Christian -- I'm an active trader, very disciplined, and I agree with you absolutely. EXCEPT that because some of us realize the MMs come for the stop losses occasionally, we get really great buying opportunities out of people who put them in. So please don't tell too many people about this secret ;-)

Sharon should also understand that putting in a stop loss does not guarantee that you'll get that price. If you ownABC Corp at $25 and you put in a stop loss for $20, but something happens overnight and the stock gaps down to $15, you get $15 and not $20.

Sometimes it's a good strategy to do puts and hedge your position. You lose a little capital, but protect yourself in the event of a sudden downswing.

BTW -- I set a 10 point target for DBCC, hit 11 this morning and sold everything. Am quite happy. Don't have any anxiety over the weekend. But good luck everyone who is still long -- hope you make even more gains next week!
