The semi-equips were spectacular this week. Of the 41 stocks in the group, 40 were up and 1, PHTN, was down. The group was up 21 percent overall. This is the best weekly gain ever in the past 21 months with the exception of the week closing 10/23/98, when it closed up 27 percent. The SOX-X was up 12 percent for the week. All but 7 stocks were up more than 10 percent and 23 of the stocks were up 20 percent or more.
