Joe: You make the most sense out of the comparison, how's this for more?
Nextel boasts direct connect and dispatch, that is the only difference between PCS cellular and the Nextel system. I think that PCS already has direct connect and dispatch capibility, however, it ties up too much space and resources for it to be used. But, with smaller and more efficient computers, chips, and memory, the handwriting is on the wall.
Simple, the hub concept, just like airlines. If you want to call five associates, simply select the dispatch function from your cellular phone, select the numbers to be called, then hit send. Your call will be routed through the hub computer, which will connect the other recepients of the call to you and everyone talks together. Why isn't this being done now? I say, because, this type of conference call takes up too much of the present system resources, there isn't enough space. With the future enhancement of digital compression, more capable phones etc., I would gladly accept any offer to sell Nextel at 29 per share.
