Eric, Cary's posts nowadays are seldom, but welcome. The posts report the details of his trading, but not much about his reasoning.

He's been in a sort of 'half-duplex mode' of posting, but not responding. So I'd bet you won't get an answer.

Just the same, I'm glad to see him indicating, through his trading, what his thinking is.

My own thinking is that stock prices in this sector are now too high, with shares trading at all time highs, yet industry conditions far worse than they were at the previous peak, 18 mos. ago, with the prospect of them returning to 1997 conditions at least a year away.

Take a look at the chart below, and ask yourself, does the price of AMAT accurately reflect industry conditions now, compared to the summer of 1997?
