I didn't attend the annual meeting (I live in Japan). I was simply reporting what I had heard from a bull on the Yahoo thread who attended the meeting. One should of course never fully trust what one reads on stock bulletin boards, but the guy has demonstrated repeated familiarity with the company and with the industry, so I see no reason to doubt his version of the events of the annual meeting.

I have no idea if the M&M deal was the Biggie that they promised. I hope not. The great thing about this company is that they are allergic to hype, even when a little hype--some of which would be justified IMO--is probably called for, given their line-up of products that everyone wants. Click2Talk is an absolutely dynamite product. *Everyone* wants cheapter telecommunications. It has gotten to the point where companies no longer have the choice of paying too much for phone/fax/Net bills.

I don't have a clue when it will occur, but at some point earnings will force the stock northward. Big upcoming news will be a catalyst (probably the announcement of a major partnership of some sort, followed by (or maybe preceeded by) announcement of the Net division spinoff.

I think that 1999 will be the year that the market places a premium on Net companies with solid, dependable earnings. Jonas et al are as well-positioned as anybody. That recognition could begin very soon.
