Regarding "I think we need arms to protect ourselves from each other" Here's an answering machine message you might find useful:

'If you are a burglar, then we're cleaning our weapons and
can't come to the phone. Otherwise, leave a message.'

"...hmmm, both were "guys"....anyway" I don't see the point.
