HELLO thread: I am a lurking newby.. I enjoy this thread very much you are all straight shooten educators. Started trading Nov 20th w/4000$ dropped to 3200 in one week. I bought on the gap a few times. (TJ you warned us Newbs about the gap buy in mid-early Nov). The account after, 15 trades is now @ 4900. 13 of these trades came from this thread. In the past I have only invested on fundamentals, I made 13 trades in a year. Anyway this is a lot of fun. I still make plenty of mistakes. My strategy is to hold 50% of my account in long, While maintaining the other for short term, 3 mins to 3 days (Wery complex eah?) some how today i blew my 50/50 rule off. my positions are as follows: aklm 200 asct 200 gend 100 sybr 200 My rational: aklm: they have 2 hit games and were technically set to rage will hold 100 past earnings for sure asct: if the rumor doesn't come to fruitation, it was fun imagining gend: revenge.. Had this last week. took it home to the fire. felt remorse, put sell order for morn at purchase (7 5/8) went in the morn @ 16 1/4.!>. Thought to myselve, these guys(the MMs) must be lovers of man kind er somptin, so while helping my 4 yr old dress i also slapped a buy at 14 1/4,sold at the end of the day at 9 27/32. I do think they will run a little next week. sybr:I think these niche interNUTS are for real. This comp has a true shot at some profs. geer& bikr as well (they dont have the babe w/ the cigar though) sorry for ramblin on so long but kind of feel this thread needed a crazy newby post
