I'll be testing one of the DirectPC systems next week. With the bandwidth available here and no concerns about security it should be quite slick. Has anyone here ever seen a cable modem at work??????? Will they work with you average cable system or is fibre the only answere? I belive that some Universities are testing them, anyone have info on this?? Not to piss on everyone's party, but with the state of the cable industry's infrastructure, the big question is will it work with the 98% of the cable that is existing???? My FORMER cable co, Jones Intercable, couldn't even transmit 50 clear and clean sounding Dolby Surround Audio? They had a whopping 6 channels that were stereo, and ESPN and ESPN2 were two of the many that weren't in stereo! How could anyone expect them to deliver 40Mbs to my PC???? PS. I love my DBS system. Fz
