Jaime, I had the same problem with Schwab, and when I asked them what was going on, I got the volume problem answer.

I know just enough about this to be dangerous as my base is a project manager, not a technician, but dependant upon the type of switch or server and its intelligence level, you will often get routed down the same path that you previously got connected with. If there is a problem with that route because one of its switches has overloaded, you will continue to be blocked until the switch is found and fixed ... or restarted the next day. I have had similar problems with E-Trade and the answer there was to log on through the home page. This didn't work with Schwab on Friday ... so just to try to break the sequence, I entered an incorrect password ..... then tried to log on and ... it worked !!. It must have interrupted the pattern so that the pathway/route was determined anew.

I am sure there are more techincal people who could explain this better, or correct me ... but its something you might try next time. By the by, I always log out and re-start my computer before doing this .....

Regards

Stephen
