The deal is that there are certain minority groups that value the male of the species over the female. The sex is determined here in BC and then it is a quick trip to the States for a cheap abort if the news is bad. The thing is, that of these minority groups it is only the fundamentalists of the bunch, which is probably .01% that practice such extremes.

The government in its over-politically-correct morality, recognized that it could not accept contributing to infanticide on any level even if carried out in another country, and chose to forbid letting all parents know beforehand rather than singling out the few. Hence legislating us all to love each other. I do not agree with their logic of course.
