George,
Yes, I know he is at odds perhaps with the Barton Biggs of the world. But this is some call. And yes, I cannot think of anyone out there who is articulating it in this way.
This is so interesting to me. I just got to know Charles months ago, so we are not a long lasting tag team. Yet, he sees the future just like I do any many of the Le Metropole camp. The old credit crunch default issue.
Regardless of your view on Asia, he will be a good counter reference for you.
Of most interest is how bullish he is on the gold shares. Like I said, Jim Grant has written Charles up in 1993. The was the last time he owned a gold stock. He is just as bullish now and is way ahead already having caught the bottom of this recent move down.
I should have followed him a long time ago.
Any way, I think we are close to some big things. But, then I do not think that comment will be of any jolt to you. I thought Peabody's would. As you know, Alan Abelson, Editor in Chief of Barrons thinks the world of Charles and his analysis.
Contrarians - read Peabody.
Bill
