In some future situations when I'm following a thread where the stones start to fly, I'll refer them to your post.

Does it cross an ethical line if an individual is aware of something that is not generally known (perhaps not public knowledge) and that individual takes a position in the stock before posting the good or bad news information to the thread?

Perhaps that is just good investing.
