si - Showpower calls it an expense - and in their notes to the financials, there's no mention of market value or anything else... "STOCK COMPENSATION EXPENSE. In March 1997, the Company made restricted stock awards of an aggregate of 128,767 shares of common stock to certain executive officers of the Company. The shares of common stock are restricted and subject to forfeiture upon termination of employment. Stock compensation expense is being recognized over the three year vesting period based on the value of the shares at the date of grant."
