I listened to the CBC interview between Christeen Pochmursky and Julia Levy, QLT's President and CEO. It started with a description of ARMD and Visudyne's role in treating that disease. Included Julia's estimates of the number of new cases annually in North America and Worldwide. Worldwide was only 2 1/2 times the North American use. Unless I'm more mathematically challenged than I think, this must be a gross underestimate of the number of new cases annually. ... unless she was trying to estimate the number of people who might be able to afford the treatment in its early years of release. She then discussed the remaining approval steps and time table for introducing it to the world. All in all, a good interview.
