Concerning wireless local loops:

I have seen reference to wireless local loops before in this Qualcomm page, or was it under one of the other ones? Either way, I am unsure as to what the term refers.

I would appreciate it greatly if someone could tell me more about it, or point me in a specific direction because right now, when I hear the term "wirelss local loop", it makes me think of an old style building switchboard, albeit completely digital and automatic with a far greater range and series of commmands/controls.

And while I am warming to the topic, shouldn't there be a separate entity not related to Qualcomm that has done more R and D on such a system? I believe there is such a company and will try to find one. Others are welcome to help look.

I have a feeling this is relatively an important area that has not been covered under this page as far as I am aware. But I could be worng, especially since I am rather vague on the topic of wireless local loops.

Regards,
