Thank you for some very good advice. I am REAL new to all this stuff, but the excitement of the RISING market has brought me into it. I don't day trade full time like most of you, but I love the idea of developing a strategy, which i have been doing over the past few months.
Now I am only actually starting to some of my money into it, and i couldn't have read this stuff at a better time. I am the owner of a successful recruiting business in NY that I started in 1995, and only recently did I make some money to think about investing. But honestly, I have always been petrified of the market. But it's time for me to overcome that fear and try to do something. I have been working very hard at night, many times until 4 in the morning, reading, learning, and trying to figure out a strategy that works for me. So your advice as well as many others on this thread has been taken to heart, and what you said about learning how to NOT lose money rang a bell.
I read a great quote from Bill Parcells a couple of weeks ago. He said, "Until you understand what makes you lose, you'll never understand how to win."
I will employ that strategy.
