Geoff , i am sorry but i don't think your post is correct ...

ADSL numbers are much higher than for rogers/shaw cable ...
download speed for ADSL is up-to 4,5 Mb/sec in ideal conditions , and even if i go tu the speed test site i am around 2.8Mb/sec upload
is slower say around 300kb/sec ...
cable connection is not even close to it ...
the second thing is -- everybody has to go with the outfit which he can get in his/hers area .. for instance i do have roger cable for tv , but can't get their internet hook-up , they are not reafdy in my area yet ...
