Suspicious of saviours?

The "stop saving us from ourselves" protest is, perhaps, one of the greatest fallacies surrounding the mythical 'stock basher'. Visiting the kitchens of many 'bashers', one can find a few reasons for stomping on cockroaches like NBMX.

One could stomp on the roach because he truly was saving his family from the dreaded pest. Then again, maybe he doesn't care so much about the family. Could it be that he just doesn't like bugs—so he stomps on them? Why do all the little ego-maniacs think it's for their benefit?

"Darling, stop saving us from the cockroaches!"
"Shut up wench. I just don't like bugs—I'll stomp 'em as I please. No law against keeping a bug-free kitchen. Keeps the disease down."

...and so it goes.
