A community is nothing more than a group of individuals.

What you think is so irrelevant is the most relevant point. The men who drafted the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution knew this. What a different country we'd live in if the aforementioned documents and the Bill of Rights were based on "collective" or "public" rights and not individual rights! -- That society would be horrific indeed.

The pablum they force fed you in school sure seems to have gummed up your brain. Too bad.
