Sorry everybody, I hadn't been through all the other pissed off posts before I answered Walt.

As for the substance of this weekends discussion I think it's a damned good thing Irwin Jacobs is not Claudia Schiffer. Can you imagine her coming up with HDR?....Wireless Knowledge perhaps.

And the takeover talk made more sense when the stock was in the 40's than it does now, even though it's still cheap. One would think if someone was waiting to pounce they'd have done it already. Lu doesn't need QCOM to do CDMA and neither does Nortel I don't think. They don't make consumer products either. These companies aren't going to buy just to avoid royalties IMO. Ericsson would be the obvious candidate but these companies hate eachother. Maybe JGoren you could tell us how the law would look at a hostile takeover attempt by Ericsson after all the badmouthing, lying etc that they've been involved in? Nokia is perhaps the most likely, they've got super currency and might make a good fit, not that I'm in favor of such a merger.
