Bill, Actually, I owned shares in a company that the sec halted for quite a few months asking for reams of information, Summa Medical, When the halt was lifted, the company was basically out of business. No explanation from the sec whatsoever as to the reasons for the halt or what they found.

Based on your post, you seem to indicate that your opinion is that the sec cannot handle the problem, I'm assuming that they do not have the resources to look at all these companies on a timely basis.

What would your opinion be of an additional $1 fee added to each and every trade solely for the purpose of sec enforcement activities? This should allow them to beef up their enforcement staff and handle the oversight of many of these problems.
