There was a short piece about VRSN in TheStreet.com on 05 Jan 99, I printed it out. The URL is thestreet.com. I cant get to it now, and it says I have to subscribe to read it (I'm not a subscriber). Don't exactly remember how I came across it exactly. Anyway it says: For Steve Sigmond, analyst at Dain Rauscher Wessels, the top infrastructure pick is Verisign, a company in the digital-certificate business........You'll see an increasing adoption of new dig-cert for business, and consumer's Sigmond says. Sigmond has a strong buy on the company, with a target price of 100. Dain Rauscher was an underwriter of VRSN IPO. Possibly a contributing factor. I would think with more exposure ENTU would outperform VRSN. I almost bought VRSN based on this story, but then I saw a message about ENTU on Yahoo, of all places. Took a look at actual value, and ENTU seems to be the better play.
