I have no clue as to how much shorts impact the stock price

I use it for a gauge on how to try and figure out if investors think the price of the stock is going to drop but of course it is not that accurate.

I have been watching the number of traders and volume on the TSE for the past two weeks. It appears there is a lot of small investors but no big boys trading Corel. Cowpand has scared the big boys away and only the small fish are bitting. This leads me to wonder who will be left if he doesn't deliver on Jan20?

Insurance ruling a boon for Ont. software firms
theglobeandmail.com
Ottawa -- Ontario's software companies could save millions because of a Queen's Park ruling that allows them to opt out of the government's insurance program for injured employees.

The decision, made last month but only announced yesterday, could save larger Ontario-based software companies such as Corel Corp., Cognos Inc. and Open Text Corp. hundreds of thousands of dollars each and smaller startups several thousand apiece.
