When the chip houses do eventually go to 300mm, AMAT is a lock on most of their business. For instance, I know of no other single wafer epi machine, and AMAT already has a large share of the 200mm epitaxial silicon market (they recently got a huge order from MEMC in St. Peters, MO). Epi is used in maybe 70% of all IC's. They will also dominate in 300mm PVD, CVD, and probably RTP (since the current competitors are small change and probably can't compete in R&D), so AMAT is about as no-brainer as it gets. I've been dollar cost averaging AMAT for the past year, and won't slow down until it hits the 70-80 mark, where I will make only minor modifications.

Happy Investing!
