The reproducability case seems logical but flawed by example of numerous real market examples. As in the case of DELL's business model, the companies' market advantages can be severly leveraged, ala MSFT, at the cost of the second tier competitors. So long as the leaders provide exceptional service and the highest in innovation, their customers will remain loyal and not bother with changing buying patterns for nominal cost savings. How does DELL continue to gain market share while utilizing well known business systems,...great service. If you have never bought books from AMZN, try it. The experience is superior to going to the mall or local store. They follow up w/ e-mails and really seek to understand you, as the customer. Why would I even go look at B & Noble or Borders if I am more than satisfied with AMZN?
