I'm not sure there really is a bubble. Has anyone seen the breakdown of the rates of return on the S&P 500 by group? I was amazed at the statistics. I don't have exact figures but you'll get the idea. If someone has the exact figures, please post.

1998 stock rates of return:

S&P top 100 44% (rate estimated based on memory)
next 100 28%
next 100 15%
next 100 3%
next 100 -15%

This I think gives interesting insight as to what's really going on. We aren't talking about the cheap small stocks here--these are all enormous companies. Perhaps the bubble isn't as widespread as is widely believed. Ted
