Your post is probably the best summary of Internet stocks I've seen.

Like a lot of people on SI, I work in the Internet industry and know a number of VC's and bankers in the industry. No one I've talked to can figure out the value of the stocks, whether to buy/sell individual stocks for their own accounts, or what strategy to pursue. And we're supposed to be the insiders, the smart money!

I'm running as fast as I can from your barbershop friend...but like a lot of others, it's hurt my returns.
