I do not think that the internet is anything like tulip mania, the evolution of the utility companies or Genetech for that matter. I would venture to say that in a few years when many internet ipo's have gone by the boards, AOL, YHOO and AMAZON will be around at least I am very confident about AOL. BTW Yes I would not be surprising to see a real shake out as greed could very well turn to fear but investors will take any meaningful pullback as a buying opportunity. The internet is real and has passed too many test to show that it is not some passing fad like the hoola hoop. So much of our way of life is about to be revolutionized via the internet.
