Fred: "Her Ladyship" is the ersatz title which Bob Brinker
sardonically applies to former market "guru" Elaine Garzarelli.
After a now legendary 'sell advisory' just prior to the 1987
Wall Street crash, Her Ladyship was afforded near demi-
god status by a growing band of ardent devotees. However,
the vaunted Ms. G. seemingly found life on Mt. Olympus
a tedious affair and since has deigned to resume life among
us fallible mortals. Her now infamous all out 'sell advisory' at
the bottom of the 1996 market is public testimony to her return
to the fold. Last week, Her Ladyship turned bullish. The market
promptly dropped an hundred points. The press reported
that the capitulation of a noted bear had disturbingly
bearish implications.
