One reason consumers may not switch from A to B is that they might not know that "B" exists. Regarding Viracept, another "gentleman" (I use the term loosely) was making blatantly false claims about protease inhibitors and was neglecting to mention minor things about Agouron such as: FDA warning and the company's run in with the University of California regarding experimental data that magically was transported in Star Trek fashion from UC labs to that of Agouron. The issue of longevity of Viracept is one of the shape of the growth and decline curve.
