Richard,
I will respond through PM to your railing comments about the National Guard.
Being a former guardsman myself, and having served on active duty both with the Guard and on Active Duty, I speak from some experience.
I guess I'll be one of those people you'll be looking to protect yourself from.
I'm really sorry that you feel the way you do as the US military has generally been the one unifying force in US society that integrates a variety of cultures and mentalities, and melding them into an effective team.
If it weren't for military power and the will to use it when your VITAL interests are at risk, your economic "field of battle" would not exist for America.
And I would also recommend that you start paying attention to those other community actions that the National Guard performs when a community is flooded or there is some other natural disaster. I haven't too many experiences where folks weren't happy as hell to have the guard providing their support, as well as security for their property.
But if its chaos you're looking for, I dare you to take a shot at a fellow American who also happens to be a highly armed soldier in a martial law circumstance. You'll find little sympathy from me.
Having been intimately involved in certain aspects of the Oklahoma City Bombing from the military side, I have a certain sensitivity on the subject of threatening US soldiers.
Other than that, I welcome your comments on other issues.
Regards,
Ron>>
Ron, I threaten no one. These are my promises. I will do everything with-in my power to protect those freedoms I hold so dear. Those very freedoms for which our founding fathers died. Those very same freedoms which YOU SIR gave an oath to protect.
Anyone who will help hold and protect these very same freedoms need seek no enemy here and may God show mercy on anyone who would those who would abridge these as he will find no other mercy.
Freedom is at the base of all profit. Only through a free and open market can anything survive. |
