local paper today......nashville, SME HQ
rumor (as posted in paper) is that SME is looking to "Bettina M Whyte, who specializes in complex corporate turnarounds and restructurings of billion dollar co's"

anyone know of this person? actually, she may just be part of the pic. since the article later states that zimmerman is hiring a "national firm with expertise in working with troubled oraganiztions". Ms Whyte is a principal with Jay Alix & Assoc., which, i gather from the article, is the turnaround organization. why this article personalized Ms. Whyte, rather than the organization, is unknown to me.

personally, i would like to see a strong CEO in place rather than a "turnaround organization". if this person comes from an organization with such a background ....great.....but seems like the company deserves personalized attention. i wouldn't think that a strong CEO would be enticed if a "turnaround organization" was already at the helm. hopefully Ms. whyte will be named the new ceo.
comments anyone?
