Carl, IBM & Siemans are not major players in the DRAM market. Nor have I seen any evidence of an impending change. So I would discount their overall impact overall industry supply.

Hyundai may be the fifth player, though that is up in the air. Remember, the historical comparisons that state how strong the combined Hyundai/LG do not take into account the fact that they have fallen about 6-12 months behind the rest of the industry leaders with everything that has gone on recently.

I didn't quite understand your second paragraph. Do you mean that production of RDRAM will exacerbate the impending shortage of SDRAM because of the larger chip size required? I agree that RDRAM acceptance will be later than most people expect.
