Bob,

PMFJI, but

"Phillip, re the kernel, believe it's just a choice of the current Next (old Mach) or the latest Mach from C-M, which may be the one Apple used for their Linux port."

"Linux Port?" I haven't been paying attention. What Linux port?

I've often thought that if Apple could forget about the operating system and port their next interface to run on Linux, we'd see some pretty serious switching going on in OS land. Who's going to buy the Next/Apple/Be OS when all the good stuff like WebObjects runs on NT anyway? Give the bastards in Redmond a run for their money.

Linux is great, and supports the most widely used Web Server, Apache. The only thing it lacks is a decent UI for the common man. X-Windows is a disaster.

It's a little wacky, I admit, but.... Am I missing something here?
