The reason for this dip is that MCI Worldcom backed out of the Airtouch deal, but you are probably right in presuming that the rumoured deal will continue to be a rumour. Analyst Ghose forecasted the stock to be at $30 within a year. Even though Bell has the same technology that Clearnet has, The Montreal Gazette had reported that between the two of them the bandwidth would be larger than regulators would allow, but that is not the case. Microcell has increased its customer base by 56% through its Fidomatic program, that could negatively affect Clearnet as well.
