i recently sent SI admin bob 4 emails in one night, all links to tm's posts, all of them filled with vulgarities unlike anything i've ever seen on SI, or care to see again.

several days went by without a response, then i emailed bob again, requesting follow up on what, if anything, he planned to do about the crude, racist language used by tm. he replied quickly that he had removed the posts (3 of the 4 i sent to him were gone).

i am not a prude. but i want exposure to profane language to be a choice that i make, not that someone else makes for me. the SI threads are for everyone to read (SI admin bob stated to me that students actually use some threads to learn about the market!). abusive, offensive language on a thread is an assault on an audience. and the members of SI should NOT be required to edit, dodge, duck or skip profanity on a post by post basis. SI should maintain stricter policies. freedom doesn't mean anything goes, you know.
