Wildcat, <<without the J/L process only .003 oz/t was recovered>> Sorry you feel that way, did you miss the significance? IMO that small value was very significant and provided enormous credibility to the larger numbers reported. If you have followed the desert dirts you know that the only assays that show metals require a very strict procedure and special process. Early on, IPM was in hot water with exchanges because doubting idiots just scooped dirt and ran assays like hard rock with no metals showing. Go to the technical section of Maxam's (I mention Maxam for Matt. <VBG>) webpage and review the section on assays. Fractional sieving and other pretreatment procedures are necessary to show the metals. It took IPM some time to develop a stable assay and even that assay ended up marginal if you remember the numbers. Maxam has shown assay values from some of it's drill holes that are ~1OPT where I am certain that the simple minded wouldn't find much of anything. No, rather than disappoint me, the small values reported by MGAU on that dirt is what I would expect. It's only the special process that J/L provided that bring out the metals. That's what I expect, the only reason for J/L. That's why we need to better understand what J/L is doing. Adding 0.5 OPT inquart before process without subtracting wouldn't impress me. <VBG>
