OT: I assume ML is Merrill-Lynch? My anecdote is that in the late 70's I asked them to buy me some HWP and I got a similar response -- "HP? Who's that?" To their credit, they called me back a day or two later and agreed that HP might be a good idea.

Just my recollection.
