Penni, I didn't serve the Cheetos and M&M's mixture!!! I am trying to gradually show Briana how to control a gang of mischievious little thugs so they don't trash the place, and learn gracious hostessing techniques at the same time. I think they just got dumped in the same bowl. Surprisingly, the result was not as bad as you might think. Janice would be able to tell us, I'm sure, details of the long history of the culinary association between chocolate and cheese. Chocolate cheesecake immediately came to mind for me, but I'm sure there are many more. Tiramisu???
There is a kingsized bed in the tv room because Californians like to be totally comfortable when they do anything!!! I can tell you it's very cool lying there listening to your favorite music video with the surround-sound speakers all around the bed. You feel like you are actually inside the music. I took a calculated risk that there were so many children that nothing inappropriate would happen. I can guarantee you that Briana and ONE boy certainly would not be hanging out down there unaccompanied.
It was hard for me to tell whether Kevin was joking. It's a pretty elaborate joke, if so, and in any event I had fun answering the question. Yes, I think several people should give him some advice!! It would be interesting to see how our opinions differ. I wonder what Janice would say!!!
You know, this Feelings thread is a hang-out place for some of us, but occasionally new people who have a question, or are angry or frustrated, see the title or something and actually drop by sort of suddenly when they are in need. Since it is my desire to be warm and supportive and nurturing, I am happy to try to provide advice and comfort.
The Phony Gourmet?? Is that a cookbook of things that look and taste impressive, but are made with Campbell's soup and Spam and stuff??? I need all the shortcuts I can find!!! I guess that's where you got the meatball recipe!!!
