Vman: Super News! When are the new additions scheduled? Did they squeeze some in between the current ones or just add on to the end of the run? (fall 99) I just hope all this is not an admission that the Russians (Soyuz) are out of the running.

The sats must be flying out of the shop to keep up with the launch schedule, slips and all! Go and build, we dont want to wait on the payload if the launchers are ready.

Peviously Loral had bought slots and the release said they planned to use them with G* or someone else if G* was on schedule. This is the first release in some time that I can remember which specifically calls out G* and did not say 'or somebody else'. Comments?

Two full up (nine solids) flights from Vandenberg in the fourth quarter - sounds like 8 or more sats per launch.

After so much quite, I am liking the news. I wish they would have had all these lined before the Zenit (that would have proved a true 'contingency' plan, i.e before the fact) but I will take them when I can.

Only concern to me now it the risk of going too fast. The launch crew (Mr. A, et. al.)will be pressed. I hope they have the balls to say "Hold up you are killing us." if it gets to that point.

Some of that 'new' money must be going to cover launch reservations and (I hope) more sats and overtime for the troops. Do you think the timing was adjusted to support the new offering? (see we have the launchers, need some bucks to give us some margin and to get the birds up)

Need to know the dates, as I am still 100% wrt launch attendance/success
