According to the Dec 1, 1998 Press release on GTCI's Y2K PC product, "The company has engaged Viacor Industries to develop its Y2K Bugfix solution specifically tailored to the PC market". That sounds like the product is still under development, or hasn't even started yet.

However, the press release goes on to say "''Our Y2K solution is one of the most user friendly on the market today and has a multitude of software versions and features including a clean and simple interface real mode device driver and an uninstall feature'' said Global President Terry Wong". That sounds like the product is already available in the marketplace.

So, which is the correct interpretation? Is it "cooked", or is it still in the oven? If it's available, why didn't they say what name it is being marketed under?

Sounds a little suspicious to me. But, then ... I'm a skeptic by nature.

Anybody out there have more detail?

I've done several software evaluations and posted them here on SI. I'd like to do the same with this product if I can get a free copy.

Thanks,

TED
