Hi Andrew,

<<<Mr. Kaiser says rumours from Antwerp, where the diamonds were valued, indicate the largest three diamonds in the sample resembled Russian stones and represented at least 75 per cent of the package's value.>>>>

First of all I would like to say that NR writers should not think that they are entitled by virtue of their business or for any other reason to "inside" information or material facts, without signing a confidentiality agreement, or before the general public. I have heard stories of NR writers who are so full of themselves that they have attempted to bully a junior by threatening to write sell recommendations.

Second, and this is only supposition on my part: I would expect that JK would have talked to many diamond industry parties about Winspears results to date, including De Beers. I believe that De Beers must be very anxious to see the parcel of diamond from Snap Lake. As I have stated before, the size distribution tells all. Given the headache the CSO got from having to deal with Mir diamonds, they must be paying very close attention to this situation. Not having seen the Snap Lake parcel of diamond, and given the apparent size distribution, which is virtually unheard of in industry, other than the Mir pipe, I could well imagine the kind of comments De Beers could have made to JK. It is possible that JK has unwittingly become a De Beers patsy, in an attempt to coerce disclosure of strategic information that should likely not be released at this time. ...the plot thickens.
regards,
teevee
