I closed my account with AMTD and am going with JPR Capital $10 per trade, add $0.50 for SOES per ticket, add $2.50 for SNET per ticket, add $0.015 per share for INCA, add $1.00 per ticket for ISLD. You get ECN access through TNTO. Nearly instantaneous fill reports. If the system goes down you can actually get a live broker on the phone--none of this stuff of being on hold for 20 minutes. You can cancel orders and change orders within seconds. Monthly trading system/S&P Comstock real time Level II and NYSE is $259.25 per month. If you do 40 trades a month with AMTD your commission cost is $13 x 40 = $520 per month (Forget market orders, nobody that is smart uses them). At JPR Capital your cost is around $259.25 + $11 x 40 = $699.25. Don't AMTD's untimely fill reports and stress of not knowing cost you at least $699.25 - $520 = $179.25 per month? For me its worth it. If you daytrade into and out of just one stock per day you are doing 40 trades a month. jprcapital.com
