River Rat, the cause is an excellent one. I hope you lose the bet! Of course, I'm not holding my breath in suspense. I've seen many "hype" stocks jump up fast only to fall back down. In fact, didn't this happen to FTEL before?

Al Krasberg, the one thing I certainly expect is for FTEL to disappoint. It will be interesting to see what happens around the March-June time period. Won't all the convertibles have to be converted by then? Is that when more shares will be converted and potentially dumped. (I would assume that they already are, but who knows?) Has anyone called the Stock Transfer Agent to find out?

Al, you mentioned that FTEL had a number of good quarters in a row in that they were increasing quarters. However, the year to year comparisions still don't look that good. Also, wasn't a significant portion of a prior period's sales from Demo units which have been out for an extended period of time?

The quality of sales as well as the sales dollar amount are important. The quality of FTEL/FNET sales are not that great in that that are in a very competitive business; barely capitalized, IMO, and working with negative profits.

The yearly sales are about where they have been for some time. Go to valuespec.com and to the FTEL stock Library. You can find FTEL's earnings and revenues for many years back. You will see that things are more alike to the past that you realize at this point, IMO. They have often had great sounding news releases. But what has been the historical result.

FTEL: ~ $ 1.50
