I am on the ZMAX investor mailing list and received a personal phone call yesterday from someone on staff at ZMAX investor relations. The person called to tell me that the company is trading at a support level and that this would be a good time to purchase or add to my position. They didn't convey news or any information to me other than this.

This is very strange and something I find worrysome. Very few companies have staffers cold-calling to prospective buyers. If they want to play that game, they usually get brokers on board to do this work. (Either way it would worry me unless the broker is reputable)
Hypotheses: the stock was under pressure and reaching a dangerous resistance point or perhaps at a level that would force a margin call on a large holder. or, zmax is in negotiations on a deal (acquisition or financing) for which the transaction price is linked to the trading level of the company, and they're pulling out the stops to get the price up. Would anyone like to comment?
