up or down price on Dell (or stocks in general)after option expiration? I think Ben A is on the right track. The problem is that people make guesses early and then change their mind. I think a Max Pain analysis which was done on the daily change in options, or if that does not provide enough information a sliding range where recent bets on options are given more weight than early bets. I don't really have the resources to do it, nor do I have access to option prices and volumes in a format that can be automated for analysis. Still I think there is a lot to be learned from seeing where others bet their money and not just their opinions on the future. TP
