herb: offtopic: I don't mean to say they went there to avoid the war. My father was in in the Army Air Corp. He was a math major at Carnegie Tech. When he went through navigation school he was so good at navigation they kept him behind as an instructor until '44. So he only had to risk his life for one year making precision night raids over Japan in a B29. Probably a good thing for me.
