Christine:
I wasn't -that- drunk. And to be honest, I really didn't think I was groping at all. Amy is a brilliant, beautiful young lady. We went to a very nice dance on Saturday night. Her letter certainly isn't telling the full story, IMHO.
I held her closely, and kind of scratched her back once or twice during a slow dance, but that was it. Also, during the slow dances, I tried to dance with her very close, like when you hug someone. She resisted that, and extended one of my arms, which felt really wierd, so I said "Let's dance more formally, like this-" and moved into a ballroom dance posture. She said "No" and drew me nearer, except with one arm extended. Which again felt uncomfortable, so I tried putting both my arms around her. Anyway, it went back and forth for a while. Also, I kissed her two or three times, on the upper side of her cheek, mostly on her hair. I joked about kissing her on the lips, but never really tried. During the night, she never looked too uncomfortable.
Amy is 22. I'm 29. Could she just be young and extremely inexperienced? I thought I was a decent date.
